This recipe is the bomb! It can get messy and nobody cares. I thought I would never taste the flavors of an authentic banana split again but I have created the perfect healthy banana split dupe.

This dessert is sweet by only natural, whole ingredients. It is a fiber rich dessert which you just can’t find at an ice cream shop. This is sure to be a hit at your table.

This recipe is gluten free, grain free, dairy free, vegan, all natural, full of fiber and the perfect substitute for a banana split.

The Best Healthy Banana Split Squares

Prep time: 15 Minutes
Yield: Makes 8-12 Servings

Dark Chocolate Crust Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Pitted Dates
  • 1 Cup Almond Flour
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Ground Flax
  • 1/4 Cup Hemp Seeds
  • 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Water
Banana Cream Layer Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup Cashew Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Packets Stevia (Optional)
Strawberry Cream Layer Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups Sliced Strawberries
  • 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds
  • Juice of 1 Squeezed Lemon
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Packets Stevia (or 2 Tbsp Agave)
Topping Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Blend banana cream ingredients in your food processor until smooth.
  2. Place in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Blend all strawberry cream layer ingredients in your food processor until smooth and set aside.
  4. Blend all crust ingredients until smooth dough-like consistency. Set aside.
  5. Spray your 8×8 square pan with a healthy non-stick oil (or use a loaf pan for a thicker/taller dessert).
  6. Layer ingredients starting with crust, then banana cream, then strawberry cream.
  7. Place in the freezer for 4-5 hours.
  8. Remove from freezer and let set on the counter for a few minutes before cutting (longer if you desire a less frozen texture).
  9. The pictures are from the dessert being placed in the refrigerator after the freezer (nearly thawed).
  10. Cut into squares, place on a plate and top as desired with any of the awesome topping options.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy!
