Hi, alot of your recipes call for dates. I have issues with blood glucose and dates send my blood sugar high. What can I substitute for the dates in your recipes?

How much water do I need to soak the dates in and what kind do you recommend?

Hi Gisele, We recommend Medjool dates. You can just soak them in enough water so that they are covered.

OMG I can’t believe these awesome recipies! I recently committed to changing my entire world, healthwise. The route I chose was a program called “CHIP” (complete, health improvement program). It’s foundation is a plant based diet (a vegan by any other name!), exercise, stress management & healthy sleep. Although I’m someone who loves to cook, play in the kitchen, experiment & try new things, this way of life involves a complete change in my cooking habits & process. Your site & recipes are supercalafragilistic…..& so on. I am excited to begin trying these recipes. My only challenge at the moment? Where should I start. I want ‘em all……NOW! Thank you so much for sharing your creations with those of us who are trying to change a lifetime of poor health choices. I’ve already registered and I know will be a frequent visitor.
