This week I want you to meet Kimi (or Kim, Kimberly, Kimmie)! She goes by all here at DAMY! lol! Kimi is a past DAMY Bikini Body Program Member and now DAMY Lifestyle Program Member. Every week when Kimi checked in I was so excited to see her email! She was always so kind, sweet and excited. Kimi always worked hard and kept her focus. She took everything I said and applied it to her life. She is always encouraging to everyone on the team. Even when we faced challenges during certain weeks she always was so positive.
Giving up is not in her vocabulary! DAMY Health was and is not a fad for Kimi – this is her life.
Kimi – I know you say that I’ve motivated you but I want you to know that you have sincerely turned into a woman that I’m inspired by. You motivate me to be better. Kimi everything you’ve learned from DAMY Health you’ve embodied and you’ve become a motivator, an inspiration and a person that everyone is blessed to have in their life.

Kimi’s Amazing Bikini Body Transformation
Wow, where do begin! My Weight loss Journey! Here it goes:
My Fat to Fab story! I hope my story can inspire other women to keep training hard and believe in themselves! If I can do it, anyone can do it! I always struggled with my weight… until now! As a little girl I was chubby… As a teenager I was active, played a lot of sports but one of the ‘thicker’ girls on the dance squad and soccer team. In college, I continued to put on weight! All those late nights and all-nighters studying, partying, eating bar food and processed garbage, and lack of sleep really took a toll on my body! Even though I was a bigger girl, I was always proud of my body and happy with myself. I never had days of self loathing or depression due to my weight and appearance because I was happy in my skin!
Even though my girlfriends and I tried all the fad diets and lost 5 lbs just to gain it back, I was still happy with my body! The self loathing didn’t begin until the summer of 2008… I had just graduated college, felt on top of the world and was getting ready to go off to graduate school! I went for a physical so that I could start my graduate program! I weighed in at 5’6″ and 183 lbs! My jaw hit the floor and I couldn’t believe I had let myself get to be that heavy! I then went shopping to try to find new clothes for school. I was a size 14 and couldn’t even fit into pants at my favorite store. That was it… something had to change! I didn’t want to go out because now I was self conscious and I didn’t want to look at myself in the mirror.
In September, I moved and got settled into my new residence at school. Here is where my story begins! The first thing I did was get a gym membership and a trainer! My weight loss journey began October 1, 2008. I had 1 hour of personal training 2xs a week, cardio classes, kickboxing, etc. I cut out drinking alcohol and sodas, I ate healthy and watched the pounds disappear! In only 6 months I went from 183 lbs to 155lbs! In April, I made a trip home to visit my friends and family and they couldn’t believe the transformation! However, I only went from a 14 to a 10. You are probably thinking.. how can this be?!? How can you lose 28 lbs and only lose 2 sizes? My weight fluctuated the same 5-8 lbs for about a year and then I realized… I’m doing everything right at the gym, I work out 6xs a week. I do functional training, bootcamps, running, and cardio… Why am I still not as lean as I would like to be. I would still look in the mirror and see that girl at 183. Why am I feeling this way, look at what I have accomplished?! That’s when the light bulb went off… DIET! Diet is everything! I started asking around and talking to some of the girls that work out in my gym… What do you eat? Where do you get your recipes? How do you stay so disciplined? That’s when I discovered DAMY Health!
I followed Amy and the DAMY health blog for about 3 months! I combined clean eating with my high intensity workout regimen and the inches just start to melt away! I am still 154 pounds, but now I’m a perfect size 6!! For the first time in my life I feel like a woman should! I still have curves but I’m lean and toned… I have abs!! I can actually see them! My butt is firming up and my arms are sculpted! People at the gym notice how hard I train and compliment me for motivating them to push harder, even some of the men! For the first time in my life, I am excited to go shopping!
I look in the mirror every morning and say wow… You go girl!
Amy has changed my life from good to AMAZING! She provides such motivation and inspiration! She believes in each and every one of us and knows that we have the inner courage, strength and will to succeed! Life can be negative and full of obstruction, but if Amy has taught me anything, it is that you can always find the light in the darkness! She taught me to achieve excellence in everything you do in life, pursue every challenge and overcome any obstacle with courage, zeal, and an unwavering spirit! This is the new me! Not even the new me… the me that has always been there but never truly had a chance to shine! Clean eating is my lifestyle and hard core training is what makes me happy! I feel sexy, feminine, fiery and unstoppable!
Amy always said… take it day by day and trust in the process! That’s what I do! Everyday I say, today is going to be a good day! I have a new life and I have surrounded myself with the right people… you’re environment is everything and with people in your life to motivate you, inspire you, believe in you and push you… anything is possible!
