I wanted to do a pregnancy cravings survival guide that takes common pregnancy cravings and puts a healthy spin on them. I am now in my 8th month of pregnancy and the recipes below have been what I have used to satisfy cravings while staying on a healthy path during this journey.
Each category is a craving I have had with the recipes I have used to satisfy those cravings over the last 8 months.
I have solutions for craving pasta, ice cream, chocolate and so much more. Yes, you can satisfy yourself during pregnancy while staying on a healthy diet.
I have been loving smoothies for breakfast during my first trimester (when it was difficult to eat) and now for my mid-morning snack.
I love adding greens to any smoothie recipe to add that extra nourishment. Some of my favorite recipes are linked below.
Ice cream has been something I have eaten every week – dairy free, vegan, homemade ice cream of course. The two recipes that I go to are listed below.
I also love adding 1 scoop of protein powder to my ice cream so that I can ensure baby is getting everything she needs.
I love salads. And pregnancy has only increased my love for salads. I can eat a ton of food and feel great about it.
A couple recipes that I have turned to over and over the last 8 months are listed below.
Vegan Caesar Salad with Crunchy Sriracha Kale & Fried Chickpeas
Roasted Mediterranean Salad (Vegan)
Crunchy Chickpea Pineapple Salad with Roasted Cauliflower
Raw Vegan Tuna Salad
– snacks (sweet and salty)
