As your healthy lifestyle evolves into your way of life you will notice some attitude changes that happen within. You will notice that you enjoy your downtime. You will notice that you continually choose happiness over drama. You will feel confident and proud of your accomplishments, more at peace with yourself, and a happier more joyous you. At the same time, you may notice that negative attitude start to stand out like a sore thumb, that people’s excuses and ho-hum attitudes get under your skin. On some level we have to let go of these people. When someone has been un-supportive or uninvolved in the positive experiences in your life and you have felt some hurt try saying to yourself “I forgive you and set you free.” You are letting yourself forgive that person for any hurt they may have caused you and are also telling yourself to let go of the other persons actions. We can only control ourselves.
As we change we should re-evaluate the people and situations we find ourselves in on a daily basis. Sometimes we keep people in our lives that are negative and we don’t have healthy relationships with. Sometimes we have to let go of unhealthy relationships to make room for healthy ones. Try and surround yourself with as many like minded people as you can. Studies have shown that the old saying “you are who you hang with” has a lot of truth. We should be surrounding ourselves with people that inspire us to be and do better ourselves.
