When starting a healthy eating regimen it is normal to experience some level of hunger or cravings. As you settle into your program (within the first couple weeks) you should never be starving. What you should be experiencing is that when you feel hunger coming on you look at your watch and realize it’s time for your next snack. If you are starving on any given day do not go hungry. If it is the afternoon have an extra snack from the afternoon column. If it is after supper try to have a small portion of veggies and protein. If you are hungry throughout the day try spacing your snacks out 2 or 2.5 hours apart instead of 3.
Getting into the groove is the most challenging part. Once you start and fully commit to eating every 2-3 hours within your portion sizes and choices you will be satisfied and feel better than you ever have… not to mention, drop excess fat. Keep in mind this is a lifestyle based on enjoying whole natural foods. Enjoy the wonderful world of healthy foods and make sure to switch up your choices. More to come on this later in the week.
