Once a week (unless you are 10 lbs away from a goal) have a little something! A healthy yummy snack! Have 4 squares of dark chocolate, a glass or two of wine, or a nice healthy dinner! Plan your treat! Look forward to it. On Monday plan your treat for Friday night. After you have it jump right back on to your plan! Enjoy!

I just came across your blog, it looks like you have some really great info! Thank you! Im wondering why you should have treats if you're NOT 10 lbs away from your goal? Should you not have any or should you have more? I'm almost to my goal… maybe 3 or 4 lbs at this point. Thank you!

If you are 10 lbs away from your goal it is best to not have those treats until you get to your goal. This being said, this is for the type of person that has a timeline. For someone that is 10 lbs away from their goal and doesn't worry about when they will get there this does not apply. Let's say you are 8 weeks away from your goal date and still have 10 lbs to lose. All the small things start to matter. The smallest differences when you are that close to you goal can make a huge impact. If you have a lot of weight to lose eating perfect won't get you there any faster. Being 3-4 lbs away from your goal is so close! Congrats! When we are this close we are usually looking for definition. Definition requires clean eating and intense workouts! This doesn't mean you can never have a treat again.
