To keep your glow I suggest every second day mixing your self tanner with moisturizer. This will ensure you keep your tan without going overboard (you want to look natural with a glow not fresh from Mexico…hehe).

Mix in a couple drops of self-tanner in your regular facial moisturizer. Here is a self-tanning product that is a great price and is available in most places.

Sunless Tanning – Safety of a Spray Tan

Getting a spray tan is much safer for your body than simply laying in the sun or using the tanning bed. In saying that, there are a few things to know before you go get your first tan. The product begin used is DHA or dihydroxyacetone. DHA reacts with the outer layer of dead skin cells on your body turning them brown. The benefit to this way of tanning is that the product is never absorbed into the body. In a week or so those dead skin cells will disappear and your tan will fade. Here’s what you need to know in order to protect yourself:

  1. Don’t inhale the tanner
  2. Don’t get it on your lips
  3. Don’t get it in your eyes
  4. Don’t get it up your nose

The spray is not a block in any way. Don’t feel protected from UV rays when you head outside after a spray tan – make sure to still wear appropriate sun block when outside to prevent long term skin damage.

Looking and feeling your best is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Having a natural looking glow can be amazing for your self-confidence!
