We have been told a lot of lies by the world and one main one is that women are only valuable when they are young.

As we age we almost feel like we have failed due to the natural aging process. This is insane thinking that has been sold to us via media, horror stories, etc.

If you are feeling down about weight gain or feeling the effects of hormonal/body changes I want you to decide right now to fully embrace and love the body you have today. Will your body change as you age? Yes, but so much of how we feel is created by our thoughts and daily actions.
Number one lie Women are told
There is always a way to improve how we feel.

Eat healthy (ie. high volume, unprocessed fruits and vegetables, avoid processed foods), drink water, avoid processed sugar, GMO’s, added sodium. If your grandmother wouldn’t recognize it don’t eat it. Think fresh, local foods. Shop mainly the perimeter of grocery stores. If it’s in a box (in most cases) skip it.

Move your body for 45 minutes a day in nature if you can.

Book an appointment with a Naturopathic Doctor to discuss a proactive plan regarding your hormones/body changes.

Meditate for 10 minutes a day and fill up on good, soulful books.

Avoid media that is youth obsessed.

Refuse to participate in ongoing conversations about how horrible aging is.

You can find a group of people to prove any theory true so I want you to start looking at bold, vibrant, sexy, fit women that are your age and older. Fill your head with the positive images and thoughts in place of the lower levels of thinking.

How you feel on the inside directly effects what you see on the outside. Do the inner work and you will find that your outer self will reflect it.

It is always great to remind ourselves that aging is a sweet gift denied to many. It is something to cherish and be grateful for. If anything, think of this gift as a time to simplify and become the healthiest, happiest, most fulfilled YOU.

There is nothing to become, there is nothing to go get. You are not competing with anyone. There is only letting go. Letting go of false ideas, painful illusions and mental shackles that continually tell you that you are not good enough.

It is time to make the powerful decision that the rest of your life will be the best of your life. Starting today, right here, right now with who and where you are.
