Confession time – My intention for this recipe was to be Skinny Apple Cinnamon Sangria. I had BIG plans.

I was going to stroll down to Whole Foods, pick up a couple bottles of Zevia Sparkling Apple Cider and make this recipe not only gluten free, dairy free, vegan and skinny but also sugar free.

It was going to be super awesome.

But, then my plan flew out the window when I searched all over the city for the Zevia Sparkling Apple Cider and couldn’t find it. My husband and I still really wanted this recipe with out Thanksgiving meal so I decided to make it and we would just have a glass or two for our dessert.

So, this Cozy Apple Cinnamon Sangria recipe will contain natural sugar from the apple cider but if you only have a glass or two it is a wonderful treat.

Cozy Apple Cinnamon Sangria

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Yield: Serves 4-6 People

Cozy Apple Cinnamon Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 3 Local Organic Chopped Apples
  • 1 Tbsp Pure Organic Maple Syrup (I used 5-10 drops of Liquid Stevia instead)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 3 Cups Fresh Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider
  • 1 Cup Sparkling Water
  • 1/2 Cup Gluten Free Vodka (PLUS: If you want to make this more boozy and warm you could add a 1/4 cup of apple brandy here)
  • 1 750ml Bottle of Local Organic White Wine (make sure this is good to drink on its own AKA good wine)
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Local Organic Cranberries (Pre-frozen)

Directions:

  1. In a large glass pitcher combine wine, vodka, cider, sparkling water and sweetener of choice.
  2. Stir in cinnamon, cinnamon sticks and chopped apples.
  3. Place in your refrigerator for at least two hours.
  4. Top each glass with a couple ice cubes and some frozen cranberries directly before serving.
  5. Tip - taste the alcohol and spice level before you place this in the refrigerator. Adjust according to your taste.
