This week I want you to add 1 thing to your diet. This is for everyone! It is a must. I want you to add 2 tbsp of Ground Flax Seed to your morning breakfast. You can also put them on salads, in smoothies, or in your baking.
Flaxseed is full of healthy fats and fiber, it prolongs the sensation of fullness long after you eat it. It stays in your gut for an extended period, so you tend not to feel hungry soon after you eat. Adding as little as 2 tbsp of this to your daily diet can assist in weight loss. Flaxseed is known to have a mildly laxative effect sufficient to move lazy bowels. Studies have shown that most of us carry an average of 5-25 pounds of waste in our colon, as a result, not eliminating properly. You could be pounds lighter tomorrow by consuming 2 tbsp of this very inexpensive and highly affective flaxseed right now.
The cardiovascular system improves when flaxseed is consumed, probably thanks to the omega 3 fatty acids, alpha-linolic acid, fiber, and lignans present in flaxseed. Omega 3s also help reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering the elevated blood fat and reducing blood pressure.
Your flaxseeds must be ground. Buy them ground or use a coffee grinder to grind them yourself. It is your best bet to keep these seeds or powder in your fridge. Please join me this week in adding flaxseed daily.
