I love using pumpkin puree in many different ways. I use it as a replacement for simple carbohydrates, flour, added fat and even hidden in recipes for added fiber and nutrients. In many recipes you will find that I use pumpkin where you would never expect.

Pumpkin puree is one of those fabulous foods that can be spiced up to bring out it’s flavour or easily concealed only using it for its texture in recipes. I use pumpkin puree almost on a daily basis and almost always when creating delicious treats.

Here are my all-time favourite pumpkin recipes! In many of these recipes I simply used plain pureed pumpkin out of the can. You are welcome to roast and puree your own pumpkin fresh or use the can as I do! Have fun with these recipes and trust me that whether you are choosing a hidden pumpkin recipe or a bold flavored pumpkin recipe you will be so happy you tried them!

Secret Pumpkin Bake

This new DAMY Recipe is the best way to get extra nutrients into you, your family and children. The secret added pumpkin adds a ton of great vitamins, fiber and nutrients. The flavor is amazing!

This bake (as I like to call it) is easy, packed with all the “good for you” stuff and doesn’t have a pumpkin flavor. The pumpkin just adds a rich depth to the sauce. The extra veggies in the recipe below are optional. Feel free to add or subtract these options.

For picky eaters that you want to get some great nutrients into simply take the suggested veggies below and instead of adding them chopped to the recipe place them in the food processor with your sauce mixture and blend them until they are smooth. No one will know they are there!
